Happiness Jar

This year I’m finally getting around to making use of a happiness jar. I’ve included a little reminder inside the lid of my children’s jars.

If you don’t know what a happiness jar is, a google or Pinterest search will turn up a multitude of examples. Basically you dedicate a container as your personal happiness (or gratitude) jar. Whenever you think of something that brings you joy, makes you thankful, or just gives you the warm and fuzzies, you record it on a slip of paper and drop it in the jar. At the close of the year you read all the reminders. This can be done on your own, or in a group with close friends and family.
My plan is to read over them whenever I’m a little discouraged or need a pick me up.
How about you? Are you ready to create a Happiness Jar and focus on those blessings?
